I am planning to buy some cardio equipment for my morning cardio. Do you have any suggestions on what I should buy?

In fact I highly suggest getting some cardio equipment home. It will motivate you more to workout in the mornings.

What you want to buy really depends on what kind of cardio you like to do. For example, I enjoy the elliptical and treadmill more than the exercise bike!

here are your options:

1. Stair Stepper

Pros:
+ Takes up less space. If you have limited space, the Stair Stepper is your best bet.
+ It can be folded easily and tucked away
+ Cheaper compared to other equipment

Cons:
- Some people find it boring

2. Treadmill

Pros:
+ Popular
+ Running is one of the best forms of cardio

Cons:
- Noisy. Good if you have your own house. If you stay in an apartment, it might disturb other people (unless you buy a really good brand) :)
- Comparitibely expensive

3. Bike (Cycle)
Pros:
+ Popular. Remember to get a recumbent bike as it gives better support to the back

Cons:
1. Boring for some
2. Upright bike strains the back

4. Ellipticals
Pros:
+ Very good cardio equipments as they workout the hands and feet and the whole body actually.
+ Most people who do ellipticals do not 'feel' the effort but still burn calories.

Cons:
- Takes up a lot of space
- Expensive

For me, the treadmill would be the easiest option. I'm gonna buy one as soon as I have the moolah :p

I suggest you do some good research before buying the cardio equipment as they vary a lot in quality.

Since you are in the US, check out Sears http://www.sears.com - they have good deals on exercise equipments.
